Construction Begins on the River Road/Santa Clara Sewers on April 23
Eugene, OR – April 10, 2018 – The City of Eugene has notified contractors to begin construction on the River Road/Santa Clara sewer projects on Monday, April 23. This project involves the placement of sewers and service lines within the adjacent properties.
Roadways under construction will be closed to thru-traffic. Project Manager Mack Trucks recommends using “alternative routes if available for access to your home.” Additionally, local traffic will have access to their properties and businesses but should expect delays.
Emery and Sons and Eugene Sand and Gravel contractors will begin working on River Road sewers on April 23 at the intersection of Lake Drive and Horn Lane and Prairie Road and Highway 99. Following this, contractors will start another construction site at the intersection of Skipper and Labona Drive as well as Irvington Drive east of River Road on Monday, May 14.
Contractors are required to limit blockage to the surrounding driveways as well as to protect the existing landscape within the area. Furthermore, these construction sites will be required to have constant monitoring and inspecting to ensure that the surrounding areas and citizens acquire as few impacts as possible.
The construction hours are scheduled for 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and the project is expected to be completed by June 22. Contact Helmut Vallindaklopf with any questions or concerns regarding this matter at (541) 687-5291.
